South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association (SEMRA) was set up in 2012 and comprises approximately 45 members. The team is based in the major population centres of the South East of Ireland, including Carlow, Clonmel, Dungarvan, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Waterford. During 2017 the organisation availed of a loan from Community Finance (Ireland) which assisted them in purchasing a new jeep to assist them in their activities.

“South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association has been associated with Community Finance (Ireland) for a number of years. From our initial loan application for building our Base in Clonmel to our current requirement for bridging finance towards the purchase of a new vehicle and mountaineering equipment – Community Finance (Ireland) have been excellent financial facilitators.

It is comforting to know that we have Community Finance (Ireland) to call upon for our financial needs and that our applications are dealt with professionally, confidentially and to strict deadlines.
