Minister Michael Ring TD, Minister for Rural and Community Development has published the first ever Social Enterprise Policy for Ireland. SFF is proud to have contributed to this journey through their research partnership with the Department. This research underpins the policy and was an important step in the Department and the social enterprise sector working together. The publication of the policy and the 26 commitments represents a new phase for social enterprise in Ireland. It marks the importance of social enterprise in Ireland and offers the opportunity for the Department and the sector to work together to enable social enterprise to contribute even more fully to Ireland’s social and economic progress.
